Yas Marina crucial for Radical Middle East Cup title.
The fourth round of the Radical Middle East Cup is ready to be kicked off and all the drivers are ready to get back behind the wheel for two more races around the stunning venue of Yas Marina Circuit. For this upcoming event, championship leader Jani Hjerppe is looking to extend his lead but it will certainly not be an easy task with a lot of quick drivers ready to fight for the top step on the podium.
One force to be reckoned with is certainly Russian Sergey Shalunov, always very consistent and fast and now ready to take his revenge after an unlucky weekend during the previous round. Kuwaiti brothers Mohammed and Salem Al Nusif will be ready to attack to get their first victory of the 2016-17 season and the team certainly has the potential and speed to realize this goal. Duo Dragos Dumitrascu-Ollie Smith, after the great victory in Race 2 in February are looking for another strong performance this time, even though they will have to deal with an extended pit stop time due to the race victory, which they’ll pay in Race 1 on Friday afternoon.
The spotlights will for sure also be on Gugkaev and Necchi. The Russian is always very consistent and he got already some podiums this season and the Italian driver, after the first podium of the season during the last round, is looking to attack the usual front runner and is ready to bring his A-game for the weekend.
The Radical Middle East Cup also welcomes back on track the local driver Sameh Al Quabaisi, who re-joins the series after attending the first event of the season.
